Dmytro (Dima) Lissovskiy
Dmytro (Dima) Lissovskiy is a CYT-500 with a deep passion and love for what he does. As a Ukrainian immigrant coming to the US, Dima enjoyed ample opportunity to continue martial arts training in America with world-class masters while going to school and creating a new life. Formerly a teacher of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, Dima grew up with a personal appreciation of meditation practice taking from many traditions, though largely influenced by secular sources from Zen and Indian Source Buddhism.
Completing his Yoga teacher training at Miracosta College with Stacy McCarthy, Dima is most eager to share his love of functional psychology and biology in his classes while teaching safe and effective alignment-based Vinyasa Flow. Influenced by Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar and a bit of Kundalini Yoga, there is a focus on perfecting alignment and breath-to-movement connection in his classes. More than anything, Yoga is shared appropriately with those that come to class on that particular occasion with no single class being the same. After the fundamental practice is done, it's flowing jazz time in class.
